Day trip to Fortune Island, Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines
April 25, 2016Hi guys, here i'm sharing with you another trip to Fortune Island, Batangas, Philippines last year since my friend visited and I also had one guest who stayed in my homestay, so I brought them go sunbathing on the island of Fortune Island, Nasugbu, Batangas. Fortune Island was used to be owned by Batangas major named José Antonio Leviste in 1995 (Source: http://adf.ly/1RLS0G).
This island is not too far from Manila.
We'd depart from 5 am and got back to Tagaytay around 5 pm to have dinner, watch the sunset in Tagaytay Skyranch.. Fortune Island is 3-4 hours by bus from Manila and passing by Tagaytay so you guys can do like us by combining two places in the same day. We arrived home around 10pm.
How to get to Fortune Island, Nasugbu, Batangas from Manila:
- From Manila you take a taxi or jeepney to the DLTB bus station at LRT Buendia, Pasay, there is a bus to Nasugbu, go up and continue your sleep :p, don't forget to tell the driver to drop you at Nasugbu (tell him that you wanna go to Fortune Island). Ticket price: 160 pesos.
- At Nasugbu station, there is a Jollibee, you can have breakfast there and find a boatman to bargain and rent a boat to the island. Remember to bring lots of water and fruit since there is no shop on the island. We had 4 people, after bargaining, we got the price at 900peso/person (300 for entrance fee, 600 for boat ride). Around 2pm, we needed to go back to the land since there is no other choice. For ones who like camping, overnight fee is 600peso.
- When you go back to the port in the afternoon, you can ask the tricycles driver to ride you to the bus station and get a bus to Tagaytay or Manila (bus to Manila will stop by Tagaytay)
- Total damage per person: about ~ 1,500 pesos.
